About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.

So prior to being the DULY ELECTED SHERIFF OF THE INTERNET I was a construction worker. I worked on houses remodeling kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces and outdoor grill areas. I specialized in the installation of granite, quartz and recycled glass countertops. For 6 years I was in and out of hundreds of homes. I eventually moved into sales and doing estimates and worked my way through nearly every position the small business I worked for had to offer.
All these years later I am incredibly thankful for the lessons I learned working this manual labor job. In this particular case what to WATCH OUT FOR when dealing with contractors or sub contractors. It’s pretty easy for me to spot a shady company but if you aren’t quite as practiced at it HERE are the 5 RED FLAGS that should make you run the other way in terror if you encounter them!

How I Calculate Repair Estimates | My Tried And Tested Formula
How I calculate repair estimates may look very different from how others do their calculation. Although I have some numbers that I hang on to for how much repairs are going to cost, I still prefer to look at the market and from there determine what percentage of ARV I need to buy at if the repairs are cosmetic and if they are full gut and I stick to those ratios.

This is my first devlog about me working on an Overhaul mod for Factorio. Come join me. It’ll be interesting.
I a math, programming and maker ed teacher who also sometimes plays games, and now designs them in his brief hobby-time each day. This means my devlog should have a lot of information for people to glean if they want to get involved in modding too, so if you’ve always had a big idea, hopefully you’ll get something out of this.
Making an overhaul mod is a HUGE ask, and now that I’m some ways in, I don’t know what the future holds. I am now realizing just how much of an ask this is. Still, even knowing this for a future modder is useful.

Step 1: Start at google.org, or any search engine you prefer
Step 2: In the search bar, type “grants for home repair in” and then add your location (town, city, county, or state)
Step 3: Go past the ads and look for available options from governments or nonprofit organizations
Step 4: For any link you select, read carefully for instructions on who is eligible, and what the timeline is to send in the grant request
